Can the medium efficiency filter be repeatedly cleaned?

The most common method of cleaning HEPA filters is to use a vacuum cleaner brush attachment. The speed is set to minimum and the vacuum gently vacuums the surface of dust, hair and mites without applying pressure to the filter material. Another method is to rinse it with cold water to relax all the trapped particles. Allow the HEPA air filter to air dry completely (usually one day) before inserting it back into the unit. You can also get rid of excess moisture to reduce drying time. Ultimately, follow whichever manufacturer's recommended method includes any special instructions on how to clean the HEPA filter.
